Carpet Cleaning

There are many different methods of carpet cleaning. Major carpet manufacturers suggest that steam cleaning, also known as hot water extraction, is the most popular and the best carpet cleaning method in the industry. TLC dry cleans and steam cleans carpets but we find that steam cleaning does a much better job and leaves behind minimal residue so that there is no rapid resoiling. If dry cleaning is what you wish to use, TLC will use only the best cleaners so that the least amount of residue is left behind. Our Recommendation is to steam clean

Traffic Patterns
Every home and every carpet has traffic patterns. Will they come completely out? That depends on several factors. How long has it been since last cleaned? What type of carpet is it? Is your household a busy house with a lot of traffic? A good way to tell when it's time to clean your carpet is by the grayish tint that appears in the traffic pattern. When you start to this grayish tint it means that the soil is starting to build in that area. Maintain it and it will have less chance of becoming permanent. TLC uses the best pre-sprays and cleaners in the industry and spends additional time in taking care of traffic patterns.

Spot/Stain Removal
Spots and stains come from every day living on your carpet. They are caused by many factors. Spills and food are the biggest. There are spots that clean easily and then there are spots that never leave, better known as "the stain". There are also the mysteriously reappearing spots. These spots are caused by residue left behind from the stain or from the cleaners that were used. Household spot cleaners have a high ph so the spot can be removed quickly by the homeowner. Unfortunately the residue left behind acts like a magnet and attracts new soils and the spot comes back bigger and worse. TLC uses different cleaners for different spots and stains. These spot removers have the proper ph and are thoroughly rinsed.

Pet Odor Problems
We love our pets and they love us!! They just make us work a little harder sometimes. Pets have accidents and how we handle them makes all the difference. TLC will assess the situation and the amount of contamination there is and then determine the best course of action to take. TLC uses the best Deodorizers and disinfectants available. Sometimes padding needs to be replaced when the carpet is really saturated. What can you do? White household vinegar and water 50/50 placed on the accident will help to neutralize the offending odors and stop the stain from setting.
